Another day ... another bullet train

Getting a bit blasé about bullet trains now. First task was to distribute winnings to lucky cup sweep winners. I got first! 4,000! Wish it was $. It was Yen of course but still worth having.

After lunch we were bussed firstly to Kinkaku-Ji - the Golden Pavilion with lovely gardens.

Then we were off to Riyoanji temple which is actually a Zen Rock garden. It might be tranquil if there weren’t so many people around. There was an enormous bee/wasp on the bus.

This is a messenger gate - apparently Queen Elizabeth has been through it.

Dinner was at our hotel munching on supplies that Malcolm and Alison procured at the supermarket around the corner At a shopping Mall which has started its Christmas decorating.
