A (relatively) quiet couple of days.
The train trip from Budapest to Prague was almost 7 hours. A chance to let our weary bones catch up.
By the time we arrived at our hotel (in English the black elephant) it was late in the day and we wandered around a little bit remembering previous visits, feeling comfortable in our surroundings.
Today we took things super easy in preparation for our tour to Cesky Kromlov tomorrow.
Did a little bit of shopping before stopping for refreshments. Think we saw someone about to be married.
Then we went to a gallery featuring Dahli, Mucha and Warhol. We’ve seen a lot of Dahli in Spain.
Didn’t really recognise the name Mucha but once we got to that floor we realised that we were indeed familiar with his work.
Andy Warhol was more familiar but we learned a lot about his background - his parents were from Slovakia and he seemed much more human.
The view of the square was great
After resting in the afternoon we ventured out for a walk before ending up at a restaurant that had some live music. Spanish wine in an Italian/Czek restaurant with Spanish music.
Now we are back in our spacious attic room with the window open listening to a very accomplished pianist in the bar next door. Prague is an amazing place.
