We had been told the Ōsaka Aquarium was worth seeing so off we went with Yvonne and June.
It did turn out to be good too. You go up the top and spiral down again, often seeing several levels of the same tank. It has a whale shark and the tanks are arranged in geographical areas. It was a pity that the Tasman see only had one lonely dolphin but most other areas had a good display. There were lots of school groups of tiny Japanese children. Very loud but cute.
Said goodbye to the ladies and hopped on the train in search of a fabric shop. found something I liked and bought it. the shop floor only has swatches and you call a sales assistant and they write out a docket and attach a sample cut from the swatch. Then they send it up in a pneumatic tube to somewhere and a few minutes later your material comes back down a chute to a counter and you pay. Old fashioned but quaint and it didn’t take long. Saves on display area.
Final dinner in Osaka tonight and we’re going back for another okonomiyake!
