Another day in Provence and today we finally had a(n in)convenient place to stop for a photo of a lavender field (it smelled lovely)

Then we continued on to a garden - La Bambouseraie en Cevennes Gardoise.

(From their website:) In fact it was created in 1856 by the force of one man named Eugène Mazel. A passionate botanist, he planted his first species on the Estate in 1856 by acclimatizing species from countries such as China, Japan, North America and the Himalayas.

While the majority was bamboo of many varieties there were many other displays as well and it even had some Australian plants.

The bamboo avenues remind me of Kyoto. The garden is lovely.
