A lovely view from our hotel to start the day and Phillip practiced his soccer skills with the resident working dog.

We set off for a tour around North Uist. A bit of rain but we weren't deterred. First stop was the Hebridean Smokehouse. Not much happening but did see them packing up scallops. Bought some supplies for a picnic.

We continued around the circle spotting various interesting things

We climbed a hill to look at a very early burial cairn reported to be the best restored in the area only to find that it had partially collapsed. Great view though and lots of wildflowers

Of course we found a gin distillery and had a taste. They even catered for doggy visitors. They also had a gallery.

Phillip and I stopped at a supermarket on the way back. When I got back to the car, I was being closely watched. Wasn't sure whether they were interested in food or going to attack.

Back to Fawlty Towers for dinner. Very strict procedure. Book a time for dinner. Go into the lounge and sit. Give your order for a drink and look at the menu board in the lounge. When drink is served, put in your dinner order. (Starters first for all, then mains.) When invited, go into the dining room. Your meal is then served. Specifically ask if you want any more to drink. Orders for dessert not taken until after mains have been eaten (even if that's all you want but others are having starter and/or main).

After dinner our Maître de turns into a farmer and he and the dog go and herd the coos.
