Today we decided to take a boat trip for a change in pace (and paces). Off we went to book our tickets on the paddle steamer, approaching the river from a different street, beside the Zwinger building. Along the way we found an Aussie restaurant with venison, kangaroo, prawns and crocodile on the menu and lamingtons in the dessert menu (no pav) and Australian wines We found a marker from the 2002 floods. Must have been a sh#tload of water!
Then we went off up the river and back again, seeing lots of interesting things.
Had thought we might get a late lunch after the boat but decided we’d prefer another sausage from one of our nearby restaurants later on so went off to the Dresden Experience - a high tech and VR display showing things that were planned and or build in King Augustus’ time. It was really well done.
Back to our Wohnung to catch a rest and write yesterday’s blog then out for that sausage. Wonder of wonders I have proof of Phillip putting tomato sauce on his meal! (It was rather delicious home made sauce.)
