We hopped on the bus

(Tuesday 4 July)

In deference to my knee, it was decided that we'd take the hop on hop off bus. Thankyou Malcolm and Phillip!

We started at the Hallgrimskirka. An interesting and imposing landmark with great views from its tower.

Then a look at the sculpture garden across the road

Next stop Perlan. A glass dome built on top of six hot water tanks to see the Wonders of Iceland exhibition, simulated ice cave and view from the observation deck.

Back on the bus snapping a few shots on the way to the harbour area to find lunch

Wandered around and found a nice place for lunch. Malcolm and I shared a Tastes of Iceland plate. Kieran correctly predicted that Phillip had a ham and cheese sandwich!

Next stop the National Museum. Heritage and history in Iceland

Final bus stop to the top of our street. Wandered back to our hotel, first deciding it was beer o'clock!

During the day I've been experimenting with various ways to hold my foot to lessen the pain in my knee. I think I'm getting somewhere!
